I was wondering if somebody could help me find out what's wrong with the sample I'm providing below. It contains (among others) a TrueHD audio track and an AC3 track enclosed in an MKV container. No matter which player - I've tried VLC, MPC-HC and a player called Koolplaya - they cannot decode the TrueHD audio track. Koolplaya even crashes whereas MPC-HC pauses until the audio is switched to another stream and VLC simply plays the clip silently.
The audio streams have the following characteristics:
Audio: TrueHD 48000Hz 8ch [A: English [eng] (truehd, 48000 Hz, 8 channels) [default]]
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 640kbps [A: English [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 640 kb/s)]
The sample clip is here:
SampleTrueHD.mkv (http://www.file-upload.net/download-9566942/SampleTrueHD.mkv.html)
Have I misconfigured something, is maybe the TrueHD a particular format that isn't supported or is the clip simply broken?
