View Full Version : Creating CD Images

I am trying to make Reservoir Dogs (again!) into an SVCD using ver. 1.0.6 build 4. Everything worked fine up until the making of the second bin file (CD_Image_File_CD2.bin). I think the problem was once again that I ran out of HD space (stupid 20 gig HD!). But, the first bin file was created successfully (CD_Image_File_CD1.bin (825 MB)). I was wondering if there is a way to use VCDXBuild to make the CD Images again without encoding all over again. I have all of the files, except the second bin file is only 85 MB.

If I click on Crash Recovery and open the dvd2svcd project file.d2s file, can I skip to SVCD Authoring? Or should I start somewhere else?

One more question: Since the data from the vob files have already been used, can I now delete them to free up some space? At what step can you delete them (If you can:) ? Thanks in advance.

No wonder, you only have 49 mb left on your drive.

yeah, I know. Can I now delete the vob files and start from SVCD Authoring?

Perfect! For next time, after which step can you delete the vob files? Thanks alot, Great Forum!

You can delete the VOBs after CCE has done its work.

Thanks Labersack, I'll do that next time to free up some space!

I'm making an SVCD of the 1978 Lord of the Rings (I don't know why, it really is a shitty movie), and I also ran out of space.
The second time I encoded however, I deleted all of the VOB files after CCE finished encoding and as "pulldown" was executing, and all went perfectly.
Is this "Auto-delete VOB" feature already built in?
I can see it being extremely useful for those of use with limited drive space.
I've deselected "Do Not Delete Files", to no success, and actually don't know what this feature is for. I believe its for crash recovery.
