View Full Version : Why does SBD insist on an ISAN number?

This is killing me.
Trying to make a disc for replication, AACS mandatory of course.
In DoStudio, entering an ISAN is not mandatory, yet I cannot seem to find a way to set up BDCMF in Scenarist without a blasted ISAN number.

Did I miss a setting somewhere building the disc? Or does SBD 5.3.2 not realise ISAN & Managed Copy is not mandatory? I think it is a setting as the check box for *not* making a mcmf.xml file is greyed out and I am not using BD Studio.

Unless I can use Sony CMF I appear to be well stuffed unless someone, somewhere can help.

You need to use CMF ver. 1.02 (you can set it in MUX Configuration->Image Processing->Settings).

Oh, thank you!
It almost had to be Pilot Error, didn't it?

SO many thanks

Works beautifully - many thanks.
BTW, what's the difference between the 3 AACS versions?
Obviously bus encryption is one of them but believe that to be 1.10 and am still surprised that the newest AACS revisions are the ones that do not allow optional stuff (such as managed copy via ISAN etc) to be disabled.
One of the perils of EOL software I guess.

Still - it is so much easier to use than DoStudio.

You can also just use a dummy ISAN number if you want to use a higher CMF:
0000 0000 0000 0000 9 0000 0000 A

The ISAN numbers are no longer used (not sure if anyone ever actually _used_ them, but you can't get them anymore), so it doesn't matter what number you use...
