hi,

i'm using xbmcbuntu on my media center pc and set up mpv-player as external player because of features xbmc doesn't support (i.e. ordered chapters). mpv is command line only, but it has an osd to show some information. with the default settings osd can be activated with some keys. i use a remote thats sends keyboard presses.

what i want is: show the osd bar pausing playback and "close" the osd bar when i go on watching. i can change the key that activates osd into the same key that pauses the video. but i can't deactivate osd in this way. i can set the duration of the osd. but how can i activate osd without time limit?

any odea how i can deactivate osd with key and use osd without time limit?

I'd ask in irc freenode/#mpv-player.
