I have noticed problems with a few StudioCanal Disks.
Example: "The Others" UK Region B
The Movie m2ts file has one and a half minutes of playtime before the Miramax logo start of the Movie.
i.e. If you play the Disk, then time zero is the Miramax Logo. The Java plays the movie start at 1m.30s in from actual start of the m2ts file and makes that point time zero, making everything ok including of course the Chapter positions.
If you use BD rebuilder either in Full Disk Mode or Movie Only Mode then you loose the Java file and the Movie starts from the actual real start position of the m2ts file, this means that the chapter positions are 1m.30s out and also means you have to FF thru one and a half minutes of colour bars etc.
Rather than edit the m2ts file, I just offset the chapter position time points by amount needed. i.e. start of the file in this case is 1m.30s.100ms and all other chapters are moved on by this amount.
I don't know if anything can be done by you to remove this requirement.
PS Because this is Java corrected, this is also of course the case if you extract movie only using tsmuxer.

Hi JD
Thanks for taking the trouble to check it.
The MPLS points to the standard 00:00:00:000 as the strat point.
The Java file tells the player where the REAL start point is and uses the MPLS chapter markers minus its own offset.
Its sure NOT a bug in BD Rebuilder BUT is a problem.
Thanks again for your time.
I have seen this over and over with StudioCanal disks.

Hi JD
Im trying to remember disks.
They are all UK Region B
The disk ive just had the problem with is "The Others"
Carry On Screaming BD
Ill try and remember some more, its always the same sort of problem with the real start point being some way into the m2ts file and not the beginning of the file, this of course also makes the MPLS Chapter positions wrong on the backup.
I think that Anchorman 1 or 2 was also a problem with this.
Ill be home sometime this week and will check.

Forgot to say.
On "The Others" there is about 4 mins after the movie on the m2ts file that is normally NOT played, BUT on the backup is. This extra is about 3 mins of blank and 1 min of pictures right at the end.
But as I say, this is not played normally.

OK Checked Anchorman 1
Java problem but not exhibiting same symptoms as StudioCanal disks.
This disk plays the "DreamWorks Logo" twice instead of once if you play the Backup. This also of course makes the chapter positions wrong by 24 secs.
There are 2 m2ts files at the beginning that will BOTH play the logo. 00084.m2ts and 00083.m2ts
00084.m2ts is stated as 1 second long but is in fact the logo sequence and is 24 secs long.
00083.m2ts is stated as 24 secs long and is also the logo sequence.
It then carries on with the rest of the m2ts files that make up the movie.
Java in conjunction with the playlist only plays one logo sequence.
So although this is a different problem, it seems that any disk that uses Java in this way is a problem.
Don't know if it is possible you can help but thanks for your time.
