Need Advise on VHS Capture [images added]

Attached are stills from a VHS capture. The shadowing problem (for a lack of a better word) is my biggest issue. Sometimes the shadow is purple/green and other times it is a orange/blue even in the same frame.

Is there a filter out there that can correct this? I'm using VirtualDub 1.10.4 as my capture and editing software. What causes this? I know it isn't a problem with my hardware as other captures do not have this issue.

Finally, is there any other issues you see here besides the color balance?

I think the problem may be that the chroma signal is offset to the luminance signal. This can be adjusted using flaxen's VHS filter for VirtualDub.

In the Chroma Shift section, set the Horizontal adjustment to 10 and tick the "neg" box. Also tick the "Shift I" and "Shift Q" boxes.
You may need to experiment a bit with the adjustment to get it right.

I usually look at the Edges on the screen ("black border").

Look at the left one, you can clearly see that it's "blue/grey", this should be outside the picture.
So shift to the left until it's yellow.

I would try " ChromaShift(-10) ". (Avisynth)
