View Full Version : Scenarist DL BD - layer 1 bigger than layer 0?!

I am trying to mux a DL BD that I have added subtitles to. When it comes to the 'auto layout', it fails. I have been trying to manually set the layer break, but the only PTS break point available means that both layers have exactly the same size:

However, if I try to go ahead with this it says layer 1 is bigger than layer 0, which is borne out by the 'free size' of the two layers.

Has anyone encountered this before? Any ideas as to how to get around it? Thanks!

The "layer break" point is only estimated. It came effective only when you mux. If during muxing stage it says it fails, then you need to rearrange the point of the layer break. You are not obliged to put the layer break on a playitem/chapter etc. You can choose any part of your video, specifying the timecode. Layer break on BDs are seamless so you won't see any pause.

There is no layer break concept for BD as it was for DVD. The files are logically continuous on a BD disc, irrespective of the number of layers (2, 3 or 4.
