Read these posts. Luckily, he wrote that he will continue to support his tools, etc. (http://rationalqm.us/board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=346)
You may want to register to his forum.

I don't know whats my piece in the story of neuron2, but maybe one more of his retire.
In one way I really want to thank him. Some months ago, he created a special build for me, which was able to fix the sync problems of mpeg2 of a mpeg2 DVD-camcorder. It's also the reason why I bought his software.

Now, I wanted to help with his latest build, because it crashes when you try to save a project. You can read in his thread.
After he was unable to fix it, first I have to get over it, because of "Micrsoft screw-ups" and if I am not happy with his workaround he made "well then, it sucks to be you." "You could consider thanking me."
Sadly, this is what you get after you wanted help neuron2 with his tool and spent many hours of testing and doing unsecure(!) changes to your pc. Of course he deleted this posts after few minutes ;)
And now he request for help... "Need some help testing version 2047"

If you are just consumer, you will be fine, but don't get the idea to help neuron2. He may will have a new positive start with the new url.
Doom9 will be a better place without him and you shouldn't support him. Thats my opinion. There will be always another way to index your video files. I am sorry for him.

I can't generate a password to download his latest build anymore.
I had the same problem but the password generator now seems to work.

Guys, whether you liked neuron2 or not, this is not the place to air dirty laundry now that he is gone. If you feel you've been wronged by any moderator, we have an established review process (Morku should have some firsthand experience and know the decision can come down on both sides of the issue). And, the way he governs his new forum is his prerogative - that's what you get for being an admin and it works like that in every forum I ever visited. As a user, you can bring your disagreements to the admin, and what he says, goes. It's not like I agreed with every forum admin I ever met ;)

For me, still not work: "User ***** not found in the user list!"

Did you try sending him an email about it or post about it at the forum? If not, it seems a bit over the top to call him a criminal.

edit: the only time that ever happened to me it was because I had an extra space at the end when I did cut and paste. Maybe try again being careful about that?

Now it works. I guess a temporary problem again.
Yes, I checked if there were extra spaces. It was an unhappy coincidence.
After all experience with neuron2, there can be a hasty judgement, I am sorry. ^^ But some people will understand me.
I don't know if I could ask him for help, because after some insulting, he told me, that he will never help me again via pm.

After all, I still respect him as a very good developer and I still like his special mpeg2 build for me. But with his character, I can't help him anymore, but I think he will find a solution.

anyway, you could try, people don't always hold grudges forever

Well I'll confess I read neuron2's comments in his new forum and found them a little surprising. I certainly hope the moderator who once told me he was "thick skinned" isn't just referring to a single thread over at the VideoHelp forum when he refers to "facing down internet trolls/sociopaths" and "becoming a magnet for misfits".

Nobody trolled in the VideoHelp thread. Someone accused neuron2 of doing the trolling (doom10 forum) and I defended him. I also stated I thought some of the posters in the thread in question had posted in a childish manner, but here's a moderator, posting in a forum where some of the regulars are ex doom9 members he's banned, discussing the way doom9 is moderated, and the expression of some anti-doom9/neuron2 sentiment came as a surprise?? Neuron2 referred to it as people obsessing over doom9, but I think it's more a case of having a chance to express an opinion, given you're not allowed to here. Even attempting to do so via PM might earn you the famous "no explanation as to what it's for, just because neuron2 decided", strike number 3.

There should be somewhere members and moderators can discuss the rules and their interpretation. Not being allowed to seems silly to me if we're all supposed to be grown-ups. Eventually it'll end up with doom9 members venting about the flexible doom9 rule interpretation in another forum and a doom9 moderator thinking he's being trolled. Oh.... wait a minute....

Well, I take people as I find them and he was always helpful and to the point.

Good luck to you, Sir.

Well at least my victimisation has reached a conclusion, perhaps did not help that I called him a megalomaniac in PM (strike me down).
Good luck to the fellow anyway, he has done a lot for the video world.
