Hello,

my name is Ingo and I'am one of the CinEx HD develoeprs.
I want to expand the software to remove Cinavia from Blu-ray 3D, too, but here I'am at my technical llimit, because I do not have any official specs. So I hope to get some support here.

I have problems to understand SSIF files on Blu-ray 3D. What I know is that this are virtual files that contain interleaved content of the left and right eye streams on the disc. But how the interleave is working? Is there a general mask that says how to create the SSIF files in memory? Like 3 sectors of left video and 1 sector of right? (Maybe there is an offset because left contain also audio and subs?)

Maybe someone can help me out to understand how to build SSIF files.

No one here with SSIF experience?

@onedev

Hi!

Somewhat off topic but, is the only HARDWARE that Cinavia infected discs "cleansed" by "CinEx HD" can playback on limited to Playstation 3 and 4?

Why should it be limited to PS3/PS4? Cinavia is gone out of the audio track so you can play it everywhere. You can play it on Xbox, PS3/4, Blu-ray player and also with software player like Arcsoft and PowerDVD.
But make sure you are using CinEx HD and not the outdated CinEx Level 2.

But for us developers the PS3 is the ultimate test machine, because the Cinavia detector there is very hard and sensitive. MAybe this is the case why you can read PS3 very often.

I asked about PS3/PS4 because this is what the webpage states:SAFE, EASY AND SMART
•Works on all PS3 and PS4 consoles
•No hacking
•No jailbreaking
•No illegal DRM disabling
•No modchips needed
•Not limited to Windows

@ Ingo

Welcome from myce and it seems you follow "Kerry56" and/or "012" (Me) advice. Enjoy your stay over here.

I asked about PS3/PS4 because this is what the webpage states:

Ok, agree, not very clear written. Thank you for the hint.

To start of consider looking in tsmuxer since it can create ssif file if mvc track appear in stream and output is iso file. With some reverse engineering it will get you started.

Also ssif file are not always virtual, for example Lego 3D exclusive has ssif file which does not link to m2ts files and ssif itself has movie.

@HWK, you are 100% sure that there is no UDF FS manipulation happen?

HWK

Normally, yes this is the case. However in case of Lego 3 movie this is not the case. If you open 00098.mpls file it will open 00042 and 00065 for 3D processing, but it will be 7 min 19 sec instead of 1 hour 40 min and 35 sec.

But are this 00042 and 00065 on the same sector as the SSIF or are they just placeholder in the UDF? UDF can be very bogus.
How the Clipinf looks like special in case for fast forward and fast backward.
I strongly need to understand how this ssif looks like. No chance to get the info here?

With some reverse engineering it will get you started.
I'am a developer and the tsremuxer developer is also one. Reverse engineering is a issue that developers do not like. I do not want to steal information, I prefer to discuss and share information.

Try contacting Jdobbs directly, he has BD3D specs and he may able to help you.

Maybe some one can help, maybe not: I have done now a very long research on the SSIF files and I know now the basics what this files are and how the system works. I also know the interleave now. But finaly, I have one question, and I hope the doom9 gurus can answer:
Where is the cut of an interleave. Is it a must to have the cut at an IFrames or is it just the PTS/PCR issue?

Thanks,

Ingo
