Background: Clearplay (https://www.clearplay.com/) is a service similar to the long-defunct CleanFlicks, only instead of selling DVDs they sell players and a service you download cutlists from, you provide your own movies. Basically turning your DVDs into TV-edits, only you can control the extent and categories of editing.
Since the kids come around and need entertainment, and I have lots of movies that only have a scene or two their parents would object to, I'd like to create some of these as plain mp4/mkv files, or use a PC player to play them back, since basically have no way to hook up a DVD player anymore. (The HTPC evolution is a little too complete here.) Does anyone know if this can be done, has anyone ever tried this? I pretty much came up with a blank while Googling, if no one knows I'll bite the bullet and sign up for a month to see.
Also, if anyone knows of any alternatives that would work, that'd be great too.
