Why is it some disks will resume playing after being stopped but others start over from the beginning? Is there a way to encode so that there is a resume function?

I have lots of problems with resume, I have however found that if close all GOPs with your encoder resume works for both VCD and SVCD no problems.

So, in regards to your post and DVD2SVCD, where would I "close all GOPs"? Is there a setting to change in DVD2SVCD, or do I need to go into CinemaCraft and change a setting in there? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm pretty much still a newbie....
Thanks.

Not sure about DVD2SVCD haven't had much experience, but I know that CCE has an option to close all GOPs and as for TMPG there is also an option to create a bitsream for editing and the does the same thing. Hope this helps

I am not sure where it is. Look in your manual and I am sure you'll find it
