Hey, I just recently installed Gordian Knot and all the add-in programs (I think) and the update, but when I set up a job to encode in Nandub, it gets WAAAAY too large. It says project filesize something in the neighborhood of 99 gigs and will flood my hard drive before it's a fraction of the way done! I just recently did a fresh install of Windows XP and reinstalled everything and now it's acting wacky. It used to work fine before, what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

try not to double post

probably nothing, let it finish and see what file size you get
then follow the guide through exactly again, it may be that you havent actually set the video to compress :)

No, Nandub will exit because it runs out of space, it LITERALLY floods my hard drive when I have about 12 gigs free!

I followed the settings pretty much to the letter, but I suppose I'll look at it again.

Never mind, I fixed it. I deleted everything, then started fresh with the 2.1 installer package + the 2.3 update. Before I was just adding stuff in manually and must have missed something. Thanks anyway though.

Hi,

If you were doing it manually you probably forgot to check "fast recompress" in the video menu. If you leave it on "Full processing" you will get a uncompressed avi...very large file, iow....

As I stated before, it is not full processing mode, it is forgetting to choose a compressor that blows up your filesize. I use full processing mode without problems.
