Hello since many here want to share flac audio streaming I went and looked solutions for this. There is none. So I went to look apis how to make streaming. I found Aurora.js that support decoding several audio codecs wiht javascript and since prject is wamp including html+php+css+javascritp tought that I can handle all but not atm javascript but studing it start this project.

What it aims to support streaming:

mp3
aac
flac
opus
alac

website is currently on my own server:

Here is audio player layout:

TheStreamer with test.flac (http://91.153.95.170/TheStreamer/index.php?audio=test.flac)

Project goal atm:

1. Simple layout, just upload, share your link to it, no searching other files, just simple upload and share.
2. Simple layout.
3. Further introduce playlist creating supporting adding and deleting files from playlists. Makes easier to share combarisons and many samples of same audio.

Codec used can be found at: http://audiocogs.org/codecs/

What I am searching: Experienced javascript dev thay could join me with to create the awesome streamer site!

Playlist ui is almoust done, this will be pure php script adding files and deleting files from playlist. Also metadata box layout done and needs only print uploader, kbit, type and so on.

What do you guys like? Personally, I like to see one project completed before another is started. Did you give up on MeXgui?

No MeXgui is open in my comp all the time but this is just quick website project to make something that is missed from web still and I belive this will be quite sooner completed than MeXgui which is a very big project.

Is this sort of thing legal?

You can share your tunes if you want and it is very legal. If you share copy righted media then you will break legal.

Following up on SMD's question: Your site is going to allow people to upload any audio and you will stream it? Can you explain things a bit better so we can dispel any rule 6 concerns? How will you prevent uploading of copyrighted material, etc.? Thank you.

Atleast if asked to remove. Will add inform copyrighted material button. But since nobody can not search any content, this is only when link is shared in forum so people can find the audio.

Sounds too dodgy for Doom9 forum and OT anyway (Doom9 forum is for backup of legitimately owned materials), so closing. Appeal to Doom9 if you think it is wrong and I will certainly abide by his decision.
