Hi, There :)
I have a problem with the dimension of a movie it's SAR meant to be 1.85:1 but when I open it in AvsPmod I find it stretched
the question here : How can I resize the picture here without inserting any resize filter? I tried to put the proper SAR (--sar 32:27) in MeGUI command line box, but I got the same result, Thanks in advance.

1.85 may be Dar not Sar or Par
(also sometime sar can be reffered as Sample Aspect Ratio ≈ PAR, or as Storage Aspect Ratio ≈ Ar of video encoded usually ≠ Dar)
your par should be Dar / (720/480) = Dar * 480 / 720 ≈ 888/720 = 111/90 ≈ 40/33 (there is this value as sar option in megui's x264 settings)
otherwise u can set 1.85 as dar into mkv merge gui or as dar into megui's preview
note these settings doesn't change video res, but how it's displayed.

Doing postprocessing with TFM will eliminate the need for TDeint.

AvsP ignores AR. Is it also failing in an actual player like MPC or smplayer?

To understand AR, I myself find this Avisynth wiki (http://avisynth.nl/index.php/Aspect_ratios) entry to be most easy and comprehensive to understand. (but still I can hardly figure out what's the difference between SAR and PAR:p)
IMHO, any anamorphic video has to be resized to DAR if you want to watch it as it intended to be, and certinly video players will do it. So what I'm saying here is, the resizer used in players is just like a resize filter in avisynth. The difference is palyers will do it automatically according to DAR info, but here in avisynth, you are actually doing editing, and applying filters which are directly controlled by yourself.
MeGUI will not automatically do resize, since how can it do resize without you tell it which filter to use? Natually, AvsP won't. ;)
