playing copied ps2 games

i don't have a ps2 yet but will b getting one soon. what kind of modchip or gameshark will work on a brand new ps2. i want it play copied dvd and cd games.

There es no final mod chip available. You can use some partsolutions about swaping tricks and so on. Do you want this burden just to have a little bit fun by playing PS2 Games? A mod chip will cost about 100 $ and after a time perhaps the laser has to be justified, is it worth it?

You can try looking around for the Messiah or its clones around. It's a full-solution, no-swap modchip that plays everything without swapping. Unfortunately, it's hard to get and very expensive cos Sony sued it's creator and forced them to stop selling it. Which means only the first batch that was already shipped are sold.
