A wanted to merge these files:
01.h264
01.ac3 (Hungarian)
01.aac (English)
01.srt (English)
I merged these files with mkvmerge like that:
mkvmerge -o 01.mkv --language 0:eng 01.h264 --language 0:hun 01.ac3 --language 0:eng 01.aac --default-track 0:no --language 0:eng 01.srt

So the .mkv file contains only one subtitle, but when I play the video with VLC I see two subtitles: http://i.imgur.com/kArFnwf.png I send the file to my friend and he seen 6 subtitles.
Is this a mkvmerge bug? :-/

More likely it is a bug in VLC (and whatever your friend is using), what does it look like in MPC-HC?

I'm not able to use MPC-HC on Ubuntu :D But this is the only file which is buggy, other files with the same structure are okay in VLC. I think this is not a VLC bug :-)

Your player is picking up external subtitles from somewhere else.
