I am using MPC-BE v1.4.2.4752 (x86) + LAV + madVR

When I play any MKV video, I cannot use the seekbar, the moment I move it to any other portion of the movie, the player just shows me a black screen

I then tried opening it in Windows Media Player and it plays and seeks just fine.

what could be the issue?

It's not only that 1 video, but any MKV file I try playing

MAG79

here is what I see in MPC-BE when I right click:

you are using LAV splitter for mkv files as external filter, so try to update your LAV pack to latest or just use internal MPC-BE MKV splitter .......also try playing without madVR, the problem is around these things

I just tried disabling LAV Splitter, same result

tried changing the DirectShow Video to Default from what I had it before (madVR), same result

tried disabling LAV Video decoder, same result, then I finally found out the problem. When I set LAV to CUDA, the seek doesn't work in MKV files, if I set it to DXVA it works. I am using the latest version LAV Filters v0.61.2

Why isn't CUDA working for seeking only on MKV files?

I have a GeForce GTX770M

You may get better replies to your problem with LAV filters in dedicated LAV thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=156191) ;)

Could be a problem that is caused by the ffdshow raw video filter.
Try deactivating it and check if it helps.
