hey guys, what are the best results you've had with Bucibuc Resize values, excluding the default?

DDogg mentioned like 4 or 5 months ago like 0.65 I think which he tends to prefer.

.50 to .60 Depending on how much headroom bitwise is available

DDogg could you expand on that a little?
Based on a previous thread that you posted in I have stopped using Bilinear altogether and started using Bicubic with a setting of .60.
How does .50 affect the video differently then .60? Do you base your settings on the material or what you think will end up happening with the bitrate? Im my case I always try and keep the Avg at 2000 or above.

Rather than answering this piecemeal I want to start a thread in the next day or so where experienced people do a run through of their particular favorite method.
Mine will be from a tool users approach. I am sure Mozart's or yours or Gert's will be slightly different from mine. A newer person should be able to read the individual methods and learn a lot. What do you think?

@DDogg:
Good idea! ;)
Perhaps this could end like the "Amazing 16:9 ..." thread to become a Sticky for others to base their decisions on it.
If appreciated i will sure add my 2 Cents to it. (Hey, since we've got the EURO, this saying makes sense, finally)
Greetings,

Great idea. I agree that it might do well for awhile as a sticky and then maybe we could condense the results and add it to a FAQ or maybe the Q + A. I look forward to trying your methods.

I am going to be a little busy with this topic changover so if anyone of you wants to get the ball rolling it would be great.
"What do you do start to finish to make your encodes?"
Note I didn't say a perfect encode or something like that. For instance, I am a "95% is good enough" type. My methods will support that. Mozart, I think, is a quality at all costs. His methods will show that. The idea is to just have a bunch of experienced people show the steps THET take. After 6 examples we will probably have most variations covered.
