Unable to install Pinnacle Studio 17 Ultimate on my desktop.

I recently bought Pinnacle Studio 17 Ultimate and could install the software on my laptop without any problems, working very well. This is however not the case with my desktop, where it is constantly giving me the same error message.

I previously had Pinnacle 15 on both systems, I uninstalled it from the laptop after installing 17 on the laptop. I now uninstalled 15 from the desktop prior to installing 17 on the desktop. No success.

I tried numerous solutions on the internet, but no success.

The specs are:
Laptop:
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
Intel Core i3 CPU 2.13 GHZ
4 GB RAM
64 bit
Desktop:
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
Intel Core (TM) i5 CPU 2.80 GHZ
4 GB RAM
64 bit

Did you try to get support from Pinnacle?

I have posted it on their forum, but perhaps I should contact them directly.
