how are people's experiences with using this, is it worth it, if it increases the encoding time by double, in my case. I dont fully understand it, and the definition is not absolutely clear on the Advanced guide, is it crucial to get the best DVD quality? is it worth it?

what about the Noize filter? does that need to be enabled even for DVD sources, or is it primarily for VHS, etc sources?

yes, it is worth IF you are using CBR or 1passVBR. There are some more informations flying away. Try to use the "search" function;)
