I captured a TV program using the Hauppauge PVR 1512. It went fine. I used MULTIAVCHD to then use Imgburn to make a blu ray DVD. The original file is H264 TS and is fine. After I used MULTIAVCHD, after the first 20 to 25 minutes the sound slowly goes out of synch for the rest of the show. There are no menus and it is one file, no chapters. What is the reason for this and hwo do I correct it?

Also, there is slight jerky movement on the burned blu ray that is in the file after I used MULTIAVCHD. How do I correct this?

The Hauppage HD PVR captures 1080i; 29.97fps, interlaced, TFF H264, or whatever your source is set to. I have Comcast, and my HD DVR box is set to 1080i. (NTSC land, you should check your captured file to confirm)
Unfortunately, I have never been able to burn the captured file to BD or AVCHD without the "slight jerky movement" because of this TFF interlaced capture.
It seems your options are to deinterlace and reencode to correct this. :(
If audio goes out of sync, and you are removing commercials, then the program you use to remove the commercials may be the cause.

I have Time Warner cable. The box is 1080i NTSC. How do I deinterlace and reencode. The jerky movement is not terrible but I prefer it not to be there.

I didn't remove any commercials. It is one complete file with no cuts. I want to remove the commercials but haven't found software that I can understand that will do it. Any suggestions? Since no commercials were cut any idea why the out of sync is happening?

The simplest way to deinterlace, if you don't have experience using Avisynth, is just use BD-RB, found under DVDRebuilder.
Not sure why the audio goes out of sync.
I use VideoRedo for removing commercials. It's not free, but works excellent.

Avisynth is a program you need to run MULITAVCHD and I have it installed. I guess it doesn't automatically deinterlace?

So, after I run the file through MULITAVCHD I then run it through DVDRebuilder and then burn the dvd?

I know of Video Redo but haven't used it. Is it easy to use?

Does Video Redo burn blu rays to an external blu ray burner? That is what I am looking for. Or would I edit in Redo and then burn with another program? It would also have a be converted to avchd to play in my blu ray player.

I believe the whole file is not synch, just that you don't see it (most people sense the synch only when it goes beyond 80ms and more).

To see what could cause this (well, to confirm it :) ) you need to check the specs of both files :).

Which specs do I checka nd what am I looking for?

From watching the blu ray made and checking while watching the file on my computer the first 20 or 25 minutes is fine. After that the problems begin.

It might be after a commercial that had a different resolution and audio then the feature, or a small glitch in the video capture that was not present in the audio that has thrown it out.

Many.
Duration, sampling rate should have been the very obvious ones :), considering that this is the first indication to you, already in the second post.
Also the log of multiAVCHD would have provided you some infos.

Nope, the problems are before. After 20-25min the asynch (30->29,97) builds up to 1 second, and this should be noticeable (I've seen even people not noticing 3-4 seconds, but that's another story).

The thing is I have done 2 completely different file and they both did the same thing. Out of synch.
