Let me preface this to say I'm on linux.
I have a bunch of 4K x 2k Tiff frames on disk at true 16bit depth.
How can I feed this into x264 while maintaining the bit depth? I basically want to encode with 444(no sub sampling) all intra and at 10bit or more depth for archival. Hopefully the file will be significantly smaller than the sum of the source tiffs on disk.
Also, will I run into any resolution issues if I try to process 4K x 4K frames or even 8K x 4K frames?
No restrictions currently on playback software/hardware.
