How Can i see subtiles in my smasung 811 sntandalone plzyer with svcd and subtitles

I encode a svcd with subtitles using the guide that doom made in his page. Everything is ok but when i put the svcd in standalone player i can see the movie but i ´press subtitle button, i can see 4 options, i turn it on but nothing happen. What is wrong, have to set something in standalone before play the svcd, plz help out.

Samsung 811 can't handel svcd subtitels.. Samsung 811 can use diffrent audio.

Try to use CVD Subtitles (I-Author type), worked for my player (Apex) when SVCD Compliant did not.

I use subrip 0.97b to rip subtitles from dvd, saving bmp and all stuff than i mpg2mps with i-author 1.0 muxing mpv+mpa+sub.txt (i-author subtitles) and get a ps file that can i burn in nero, i watch the svcd nice but when i want to set subtitles the standalone gives me 4 options, i turn them on but nothing happen, whats wrong. Is the cdv subtitle the same that i-auhtor output format that i make in subrip 0.97b?? plz help me out.

Perhaps your player only supports SVCD-standard subtitles, and not CVD-standar (that is what I-Author makes). Get submux.exe (you can download it from DVD2SVCD site), save the subtitles from the DVD with subrip and save them as Philips style and then multiplex the subtitles in your MPG. Burn with Nero and try them in your player.

Well after many tests, nothing happen, this damned player can´t handle phillips style subs, cvd style subs and ogt style subs, so i only have to convert svcd with permanent subtitles, thanxs for all your help and stay cool, bye bye all.
