Hi,
Since the release of libbdplus it should be possible to dump a Blu-Ray in Linux using only free (as in freedom) software (no makemkv). Do someone know how to decrypt a blu-ray using libbdplus? I didn't find any guide which explain how to dump using libbdplus :(

Thanks

libbdplus works only for BD+ generations 1-3 (http://forum.dvdfab.com/showpost.php?p=34301&postcount=1) that is discs from 2007/2008. Newer discs using BD+ are not supported and will not work.

As for the dumping, that is not really supported by libbdplus. One of the points of BD+ is that you must play your discs "properly", that is start it will all the menus and other stuff just as would normal player do. Only then BD+ will allow you to decrypt the movie. libbdplus aims to implement just that, so you must play your disc in a player, using libbluray 0.5.0, with all the menus. I've successfully tested xine 1.2.4 and nightly builds of VLC 2.2.0 for this purpose.
