I tried the plugin in the same directory as the script - did not work. I will go back and try all those methods again.
Thanks...... I will report back on success or otherwise later today.

Hi,
I have a similar weird problem with loading plugins in avisyth.
If I give the full path, the plugin is loaded successfully.
If I put the plug in in the system, or a folder in the path, the plug in is loaded successfully. When I put the plugin in the folder of the script, the plugin would not load. But it works on other computers, and it used to work on my computer. I also complied avisynth and checked with debugger for the current folder at the moment the plug in is loaded, and it is the right folder.
I suspected it might be a security issue in loading dlls from the current folder, so I wrote an application myself to load dlls from current folder (not full path, and not a folder that appears in the path) and it worked without a problem.
So I've no idea what went wrong. I assume that something I installed corrupted something else, but reinstalling avisyth and virtualdub didn't help.
I'll be glad for any ideas, as you read above I tried a lot of things and it took me over a week and I came out empty handed, so any new thread of thought would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Guy.

Suggest try temp remove FFInputDriver.vdplugin and ffdlls folder from VDub Plugin32 folder.
I have experienced some kind of problem, where that plugin changed search order.
Someone (cant remember who) on site, said that that problem affected only Avisynth under
Linix and Wine, and had never affected the Windows version Avisynth, however, I have never
used Avisynth under Linix, and I have experienced that problem.
I believe it had to do with a particular version of the plugin and might also have been connected with
the Avisynth plugin FFmpegSource and version.
