Hey...I just got a DVD+RW drive and I'd like to backup some DVDs of mine. I've read the guides and I've run into a little problem: my hard drive is 13 GB and I have almost 7 free. The whole process of stripping unwanted features and encoding it in MPEG2 takes up A LOT of space. Will I have to somehow get more space in my computer or is there a way around this??

Thanks in advance for the help...

Hard drives cost less than DVD+RW, don't they?

What do you need a DVDR writer anyways if your hd is only 13 Gig (and only 7 free...) ? Another hd is the only good solution (and as jggimi said, hd's are really not expensive anymore). I promise you're going to love some extra 60 Gig, it's really worth it!
