Hi all,
I have noticed on HDMV BD that when I am on top menu and start a video (feature or an extra) the IG is disappearing a bit faster than the background video.
Is there a way to fix that? Why is this happening?
Thanks,

Hi,
I know its a rookie question but I would appreciate it if someone could tell me
if there is anything I have to do in Scenarist in order to minimize that gap.
Thanks,

OK, no problem at all.
TMT has the issue and when pressing PLAY, it instantly closes the IG and after half a second the video running behind.
BUT on the standalone players it runs smooth.
So, all good.

Software players can't be trusted. Still, you can't do anything. The IG 'flush' is managed by the player itself and not done at authoring stage.

Yeah, not much you can do in HDMV... Java menus tend to have the opposite problem- the video will disappear and leave your graphics on the screen for a bit before the players realizes what it's supposed to be doing. Fortunately, you can program in delays or checks to make sure this doesn't happen, but it is kind of a pain sometimes. :)
