Scenarist Video_TS error

I made a title of DVD by Scenarist 3.43 .
No error occurred . This is very simple , only one track play and stop .
But when I open Video_TS by "My DVDedit" , Error displayed "File VTS_01_0.VTS: BAD last BUP sector number. old=28964, new=28948 " .
What does this mean ? And how can I evade it ?

DVD Video files are always placed in order IFO - VOB - BUP.
IFO and BUP has to be in different ECC blocks.
If there is no VOB, a gap between IFO and BUP has to be created (16 sectors, 32k).
Scenarist creates always such a gap, even though there is a VOB between IFO and BUP (16 sectors between VOB and BUP).
"MyDVDedit" removes these gap. No need to be worried about it.

I performed authoring a common DVD for trial. It is one Title menu , one Root menu and six tracks .
However, error is displayed.

File VIDEO_TS.IFO: BAD sector number. old=108, new=92
File VTS_01_0.VTS: BAD sector number. old=14753, new=14737
Title 1: BAD sector number. old=109, new=93
Title 2: BAD sector number. old=109, new=93
Title 3: BAD sector number. old=109, new=93
Title 4: BAD sector number. old=109, new=93
Title 5: BAD sector number. old=109, new=93
Title 6: BAD sector number. old=109, new=93

Because all differences are 16, I think after all it is caused by a gap that you told me.


I think that I do not need to mind it, will "MyDVDedit" display errors by all means when I do authoring by Scenarist ? Is there the authoring flow not to be given?

This just means that Scenarist obeys the gap rule to be safe about error correction, even if there's no need to.
(You don't want to have mutually corrupted IFO and BUP, just because these happen to sit in the same ECC block.)
MyDVDedit gets it wrong, nothing about the sector numbers is BAD, just wants to remove the padding.
FYI, ImgBurn introduces a 32K gap to be sure.
