I have a 45 second sample of a 96/24 DTS elementary stream extracted from a DVD-A disc. And another 45 second sample of a 96/24 DTS elementary stream extracted from a BRD-A disc.
Is there any particular reason why the 96/24 DTS elementary stream extracted from a BRD-A is rejected by Muxman?
Are there any methods/tools that can standardise non-compliant DTS streams for use on DVD. And why would they be different anyway?

Only DTS from BRD-A have 2012 bytes/frame and DTS from DVD-A 2013 bytes/frame. Then the size of DTS from DVD-A is greater.

DTS-96/24, 5.1 channels, 0:00:45, 1510kbps, 96kHz
Both are valid then I think is a Muxman problem.

Thanks tebasuna51,
I noticed the kbps size and framing differences too. But as I don't have a copy of the DVD specification I was unable to determine whether a difference of 1kbps or 1byte frame would be an issue :scared:
Anyway, I've sent mpucoder a PM, so maybe he can 'chip in' with his thoughts.
Thankfully both elementary streams seem to play okay in software and hardware media players, which is encouraging.
When it comes to working with non HD DTS streams, apart from DTSParser and DCAenc, are there any other recommended DTS applications?

It is not a muxman problem.
By DVD Video spec DTS frame size should be 2013 for 1536 streams and 1006 for 768 streams

IMHO no
Scenarist and Muxman reject files, good old DVD Maestro muxes such streams fine.

I wonder if I might have more luck creating a DTS Audio CD.
Does anybody know if there tools that can place a DTS stream into the WAV container?

Is there any particular reason why the DTS elementary stream extracted from a BRD-A is rejected by Muxman?
I've worked out a way of solving this issue.
All you have to do is chop-off and save a few milliseconds from the beginning of DVD-A's (2013 bytes/frame) elementary DTS stream. And add it to the beginning of a BRD-A's (2012 bytes/frame) elementary DTS stream.
After they are added together, Muxman no longer rejects the new elementary DTS stream.
This now means it's possible to back-up the 96/24 DTS audio from a Blu-ray audio (HFPA) disc onto a DVD~R, complete with basic menu and track selection ;)
