Question about DVD Structure & Scenarist

Hi,

I am new to Scenarist and I am giving it a try after having used Encore for years. I have what is probably a stupid question, but it has be a bit puzzled. Does a DVD need a title menu? I have a "main" menu, which lets the viewer go to the feature, and to chapter and sub menus. I think this is what is supposed to be the root menu. At present, I have my main menu as my "title menu" and my chapter menu as my "root" menu. I am not sure but I think the chapter menu is supposed to be a "PTT" menu, and not the root. Encore never really exposes you to any techincal navigational stuff so this has me perplexed.

I think I found my answer: create an empty PGC as a title menu, and link it to your root menu PGC! :)

No menu is required for a DVD to work. You point the First Play PGC to the entity you wanna be played and that's it. Menus are only confortable alternatives to go someplace (by pressing a button).
