I’m using Musicmatch Jukebox to rip WAV files from CD. Is there anything better? Note that I tried to import CD tracks in Wavelab but it wouldn’t work because my CD drive is firewire, not SCSI.

I use Audio Grabber from http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net
The most important thing for me is that it dose not use ASPI so I can captue without any problem also with W2K and NT4, with both IDE and SCSI.

eac (exact audio copy) is THE best ripper
theres a good guide for using it over at www.r3mix.net

Yes, esp. the new versions are quite easy to use, once properly configured. Not to mention it is the one and only audio ripper which at least comes closest to 1:1 copy, AFAIK.

I love EAC, I registered it.

But in my experience Feurio has a better DAE (and a horrible UI)...

Also do not forget CDex, also free and very good.

I use EAC mostly, Feurio only when I have a CD that gets synch etc. errors with EAC. CDex I use only when a new version pops out ;-) .

Cheers,

Ookie.
