I don't know if this question is stupid or not.
What I want to know is: after the mastering process of a movie (hope that you know what I mean), for example - editing by Final Cut, what will they do next, and how a Blu-ray comes out?
The reason I want to know is: if we now have x264, which is a powerful encoder, free and it can provide almost transparent image quality with the source Video stream, why don't they use x264 to create Blu-ray's content to reduce the size. Actually, I have seen a mediainfo log that informed a Blu-ray whose content is written by x264 "some where".
Thanks.
