View Full Version : Porting Refocus DC from Adobe to Virtualdub interface

The free Refocus DC works as well as Focus Magic in about the same time. Unfortunately it uses the Adobe interface. I would like to port it to VirtualDub, so can anyone point me to some help in doing this? It should be OK for refocusing videos that are a bit out of focus, but not for ones that are terrible. The FM people are not planning on making their product video compatible, so I must do the port myself. Unfortunately while I am a programmer I do not know the interfaces and need some help, so I don't spend forever getting it done.

(never tried it myself, so don't know how difficult it might be)
Maybe download source code for some existing filters (http://www.virtualdub.org/virtualdub_filters.html) and use them as templates.
Before you dive into filter development, take a look at existing Avisynth (http://avisynth.nl/index.php/Main_Page)refocus solutions. Here's a cool one:
