It's been recently discussed in the Mod Chat forum. The current consensus is that the user base and ubiquity are not quite there yet, but it is something we will continue to watch.

Bump since VS development has been very active recently, and there are many VS-marked posts now.

I second that request even though I'm not using VS (yet). Legacy Avisynth forum is getting flooded with [Vapoursynth] marked threads thus making it less usable for us, old AVS users! :p
Please create separate VS subforum as soon as possible, :thanks:

Yes, I also feel we reached that point we need that vapoursynth subforum.

Update on the topic: Doom9 said he has no objections and will create the sub-forum soon. There's no ETA though...

Great news! Will the sub-forum be split into two (usage/development) or just one?

If it happens my opinion is that a single forum is better. I get the impression most people never really understood the usage/development split anyway. Plus I don't think there's enough activity for two sections.

It's done now. For now just one forum - given that most threads were in avsynth dev anyways, there doesn't seem to be a point in adding two forums.

Should we rename all the "[VapourSynth] Something" threads to just "Something" now? I think yes, but didn't want to do this without approval ;)

Definitely YES. The less noise in the thread titles the better.
