Hi,
I'm having difficulties accessing this forum from a browser on a new Android 4.1.2 device. Whenever I try, I get a 403 and a "You do not have a permission to access this server" message. I tried with 3 different browsers (Firefox, Chrome and Opera), but same thing. I can access the forum with Tapatalk, though (a chat app)
Anyone has any info on this?
Thanks

Works just fine on an iPhone. You aren't trying to connect via https, right? Because that won't work.

nope, no https... I always get a 403. No idea why

I tested on Android 4.3, 4.4 and iOS7 (both Safari and Chrome). It works on all three, https does not however (it works on a PC) - I suspect tapatalk has something to do with it since it tried to redirect you to its native app (which is another way to access the forum that works flawlessly for me) and it may fail with https or not like our self-signed ssl certificate.
@edit: Same story on an S3 on 4.1.2 using Chrome or the "native" browser.

Strange, it now works with Chrome but with Firefox I still get 403. Cleaned cache and everything. Oh well, guess I'll use Chrome for doom9 :)

Just a side note: HTTPS doesn't work for me at all (PC). I remember that it used to work, after accepting the self-signed certificate. Now I just get a connection error.

Yeah https hasn't worked on any PC I've tried it on for nearly 3 months now.

Now that you mention it... I hadn't even noticed. Hope Swede can fix this soon - I'd like to switch to a password the NSA needs to work for..

I'm having problems accessing forum using Firefox on Android via both a tablet (JellyBean) and an Android phone (Gingerbread).
Gives technical support key as 5c04-86fa-17f4-e8c8.
Both devices have latest Firefox and have not had any changes to the user agent as suggested cause.
Standard Android browser has no problem accessing site.
For some reason it used to work if directed from Doom9.org home page to forum but failed if clicking
forum link from google, but now gives same error even from Doom9.org home page.
When sending email report via error page link, it gives a "Recipient Error. The Address <forumdoom9net> is invalid." error.
EDIT: The above (viewable text) email address which fails is given on doom9 403 error page as
"forum(@)doom9(.)net" <------ THIS ONE
and is shown in Android email app as forumdoom9net.
Presumably all the gibberish is supposed to equate to "forum@doom9.net" as ASCII dec 64 is '@' and 46 is '.'.
EDIT: DAMN, even if wrapped in forum NOPARSE tags still parses and modifes above THIS ONE text,
first (@) should read
(amplisand hash 64 semicolon)
second (.) should read
(amplisand hash 46 semicolon)
Perhaps the parenthesis should not be there.

Can you provide a wireshark or similar trace showing the connection attempts by the mobile device?

Sorry for that, it should be ok now.

Firefox is still broken so if anybody can provide traces (from an http connection), that might help. Just make sure you're not logged in so we don't see any cookies.

Thank you... I think I know what needs to be done to fix it. You're getting blocked by http://bad-behavior.ioerror.us/ ... the changelog shows some fixes especially for Firefox, so hopefully and upgrade of that component will take care of things.

I cannot reproduce this with Bad Behavior 2.2.14. This update, released April 9, 2013,
> contains a fix for this issue. As you can see, it was released well in advance of Firefox 25.
So should be fixed in BB v2.2.14, but not as yet working for D9.

My week-end was full with other stuff and I've been away on a business trip and just got back (and now need to catch some sleep). I expect it to be fixed once the update is done.

Happy new year!
Sorry it took so long - we've updated vb bad behavior and I tested with Firefox on my Nexus 7, Nexus 4 and the native browser on an S3 on 4.1.2 and an S3 on 4.3 (they all previously couldn't connect) and it appears fine on all those devices now.
@edit: also no problems on iOS with Safari/Chrome or IE11 on WP8... and that's about my mobile device park I can test with.
