No sure if posted in the right area, if no let me know and I will move it.

I am trying to achieve full DTS-HD MA playback from MPC-HC or whatever player is capable of full 192000 or 96000 bitsream yet I can not get my receiver to play anything higher than 48000 during bitsream. Although The receiver will display DTS-Master Audio and all appears to be good I dont think its actually playing the loss-less track and have only 5.1 playback on the receiver, while ffdshow displays is bit-streaming 7.1 FFDshow displays the correct bitrate during playback as seen from the image but my Receiver only shows its receiving 48000hz. If I switch to PCM FFDshow drops down to 5.1 DTS channels and my receiver switches to 192khz PCM. Please Help

the sampling rate and bit depth and number of channels when using pcm are determined by your operating system's settings in control panel>sound. So if you select 192khz there for example, all pcm audio will be 192khz, regardless of the original sampling frequency.

it's not possible for the receiver to report the wrong properties when bitstreaming, so ffdshow has to be making a mistake by reporting 7.1, 96khz.
