Someone was asking about how I did Monsters U and removed the PREVIEWS. Here goes:

When you load the Blu-ray into BD_Rebuilder goto the MODE button and make sure FULL BACKUP and EDIT MODE is selected with CHECKS. With the movie loaded in the STREAMS WINDOW you can the various VID_0000#'s and you have to right click and PREVIEW each one to see what it contains. I know it can take a while but even Monsters University only has like 25 things you have to look through. Some VID_0000's when you BLANK them they will automatically select all of the VID_0000's in that playlist group and you can skip over a lot of them when this happens, just make sure you don't inadvertently blank the MAIN movie, lol. I use a CUSTOM TARGET SIZE in SETUP of 24550 and usually will come out with a size of around 22.9 gigs, but YMMV, and you might have to increase or decrease your CUSTOM TARGET SIZE. After BD_Rebuilder completes you have to look in the BDMV folder for the STREAM folder and I view the 0000.m2ts files in DETAIL view and usually look for the ones that are around a minute or less in length until I find the ones that contain the Coming Soon to Theaters & Coming Soon to Blu-ray and remove them but DON'T DELETE THEM. After that I find one of the 0000.m2t's that is only 24kb in size that BD_Rebuilder creates to replace each of the "BLANKED" 0000.m2ts that you selected from the STREAMS selection. After you copy one of the 24kb 0000.m2ts's you need to rename it whatever the ones that contained the Coming Soon to Theaters were named and Replace it in the STREAMS folder. Next open the DISK and make sure it still plays correctly. I found that if I replaced the Disney Blu-ray Magic Logo or the Stay Tuned for Exciting Previews screen then the Disk would never play the "MENU" title, so I had to leave those. Each of the Previews that you removed from the disk still have a blank "BLACK" screen that flashes for a couple of seconds after the Stay Tuned for Exciting Previews screen plays until the disk MENU opens. If there is a lot of previews to remove then sometimes it will take a while until the Menu plays. Hope this helps, Thanks jdobbs for such an elegant solution to even these problematic disks. and you forgot the most basic instructions. Blanking cannot be done without enabling hidden options. "Enable_test=1" and "Enable_blanking=1".

@ Ch3vr0n : Thanks for your input, I forgot those important directions. I guess I was thinking that anyone doing this sort of explicit removal of items was familiar with those options already. I had even forgotten that I enabled those options myself so long ago. I guess I thought everyone had been around that long too. thanks!

Hi ! I tried to get rid of "Stay tuned for exciting previews" from Dead Poet's Society. All trailers, warning and stuff like this were removed successfully but I can not locate that image or file. It is not in the STREAM folder or, if it is, it is a small file not more tham 300 Ko ! You mention, you "view the 0000.m2ts files in DETAIL view". How do you do this ?
I've reauthored lot of BD, with multiAVCHD, BR-Rebuilder, Clown_BD, BDFix, etc but it is the first time, I hit the wall. Can you suggest something ? Thanks.

@ Dofin RE: You mention, you "view the 0000.m2ts files in DETAIL view.

I was referring to looking in the streams folder and by changing the "VIEW" options in the explorer window to show either "Details" or "Content", you can usually find the ones that play the "Stay Tuned For Exciting Previews" or "Stay Tuned For Coming To Theaters" .m2ts files. But I have also come across some .m2ts clips that play that are probably hidden and hard to locate without some elaborate method I have yet to figure out.

Oh, I see ! I thought I was stupid not to figure it out:D It is probably one of the "hard to find" type because, whatever I do, I can not locate it. Of course, I've successfully reauthored the film and removed trailers, sneak peeks, warnings but I am stuck to that image.
It is something that plays between the first menu where you pick your language and next menu where you start, select, go to Bonus, etc.
With multiAVCHD, I've tried to cut part of either menu, or drastically blank the first one, with no real success. If you ever figure out how to do it, let me know because, at this point, I am giving up after spending many hours with lot of weird programs in additon to regular BD-Rebuilder, BDFix, Clown_BD, etc.
Thanks for answering.

I feel your pain. I thought I was the only one that spent so many hours trying to get rid of all the crap stuck on these movies. There is a lot of .m2ts's that don't really play anything which that will not display anything when you attempt to play it. I think that it is really just a static image that stays on screen for 10 seconds and as such we don't have the ability to open it or to edit it. At any rate I look at it as a "learning tool" that helps you to better understand the whole menu structure. We have not really "wasted" our time at all.

And most of all, a little humility gets in. At least, for my self.
I've tried every language options and regardless the one picked, it showed.
Thanks for your time.
