I have a DVD that I can't decrypt; I used all the usual apps like smartripper, DVD decrypter and others. I also tried VobDec to find the keys from the encrypted VOBs, but VobDec didn't find any key!
So I can't rip the DVD to HD.
I assume that the DVD is encrypted with a new method, and my question is does anybody know what to do??! Is there a new method I don't know about? Please tell me what app to use to fix the problem.

Have you tried vStrip? vStrip will rip ANYTHING. Where other things fail, vStrip will succeed.

dvd decrypter has an error log.. press L and tell us what you see...
for the 1000th or so time: there will never be a new encryption on DVDs. We have roughly a 100 million DVD capable devices worldwide, if not more. Now imagine making these superfluous... you simply cannot do that. The point of having a standard is that you can play anything anywhere or it wouldn't be a standard. The oldest 1st gen DVD players must be able to play every DVD that will ever be released. Of course, that's theoretical.. the oldest players may have problems with advanced discs because when they were manufactured nobody had ever created a complicated DVD project so there was no software out there to test the hardware. But rest assured.. DVD will always remain DVD and will always use the exact same technology.

(small) correction
vStrip will _not_ rip anything IF it cannot find a key... (that is until i get proper authentication done).
if that is the case, dvddecrypter3 should work fine, though...

Oh, I didn't know that. I've never come across one where the key couldn't be found.

I have the same problem with my hk DVDs, so could someone help us?
They always fail in some vts title and i can't rip them entirely!

could you check if there is a 0 byte .vob ?!
