Hello,
Aften is driving me mad. I want to burn a video from a camera with 5.1 sound onto DVD. Cut it together using Premiere Pro, so I wanted to burn it using Encore. The problem is Premiere/Encore will only convert to 2.0 AC3, if you want 5.1 you've got to spend even more. So I encoded the MPEG2 video in Premiere, worked just fine. I also exported the audio as 5.1 WAV, which I then encoded using Aften. Works well... apart from the resulting file being LONGER than the original! I deactivated padding, same result. Anything I can do to force Aften to give me the exact duration of the original file? When I try to use these transcoded files in Encore it will complain that the file is too long...
The process worked with a couple of other DVDs, but this time it just won't work. Any ideas, suggestions?
