I am sorry, only now i see that there is a past thread that is the same of mine, but it seems that there is no solution in that too!
there is no way to correctly extract Ac3 file from an avi file? is that really possible??

open graphedit render the media, there should be a video stream and an audio stream. Delete the decoding and redering filters then add a Dump filter save the file as whatever you want, add attach it to the audio stream output. After that ... push play and wait.

I haven't accually tried it ... but it should work.

You say you had trouble with the Nandub way to do it.

Have you tried Virtualdub? Might be something wrong with your version of Nandub.

Make sure you are selecting right options in Nandub...."direct stream copy" and "avi audio" must be selected under the "audio" menu for it to work correctly.

If you are having problems decoding/playing the Vdub or Nandub extracted AC3 file try running it through Ac3fix. This program should remove the WAV header.

Thanks about all that, I think the only way ,like i see by the first answer to my topic, is to use Graphedit, but is not an easy program..i try to got the right time to prove that.
Surely i think is not a nandub problem(since it is only a virtualdub modified program in wich there are some other options like sbc)..
by the way I will try..and i will post to give a result :o)
