What's this for?

I have a question about a certain checkbox option in the Encoder Tab dialog of GordianKnot.
Just before you add the job, if you click on the Audio1 Tab and add your audio file, underneath that there are some options, 'Finally Mux' and 'Delay' with the amount of delay in ms. What does the option 'negative' do? Should this be checked or unchecked?

Regarding my last question, I just noticed that it's possible that the option 'negative' is automatically checked if the audio file name shows a negative number in front of the millisecond DELAY.

If this is the case then sorry for the unnecessary posting.
