Any new software media players, directshow based worth looking into?

Hi, are there any new directshow based software media players worth looking into besides media player classic hc, I don't really like it that much. Here is one, but it isn't actively developed, but looks promising?

If you're looking for free/inexpensive, try Zoom Player. It's almost as configurable as MPC-HC.
