Hi.
1.) What do you think is the minimim bitrate that I can choose in rempeg to avoid block building in my standalone ?

2.)I use the math method for calculating the bitrate like doom9 explained on his side. My problem now: This bitrate is for a 752*576 film. If I have a film that is definitely too long, so the bitrate may be to small, letīs say 40%, and I want to make the film in the 352*288 format, what is the correlation between the bitrate from the 720*576 film and the bitrate that I must use for the 352*288 film ?

3.)is it possible to convert the film in the 480*XXX format so that this works in my standalone?

(all picture sizes are pal)

1) no idea.. I've done like 3 movies in rempeg in my 2 years of ripping experience.. I really don't like the prog

2)bitrate has nothing to do with the resolution.. so the calculations will be the same

3)it's not a valid dvd stream.. but if you use the search button and look for LOTR you'll come accross a thread where people convert the LOTR (lord of the rings;) SVCD rip into a DVD without re-encoding the video.. that trick should work here, too.
