I have tried a couple different Blu-ray movies, ripped to hard drive or straight off of disc, still get the same repeatable errors. Removed all programs and downloaded/installed again 3 times. All help appreciated! Thanks.....

What program you used to rip to hard drive, If encode is falling as soon as it start then it may be possible to have bad rip of disc.

I was using ANYDVD HD I believe. I did not have a codec pack at that time. I will try another go off a different disc and see what happens.

I was using ANYDVD HD I believe. You don't know what you used to rip it?

Was trying a million things at the time lol. I got everything to work, burning with IMG right after. Took about 4 hours for Star Trek.....
What should I be using to rip it first to save time?

What should I be using to rip it first to save time? I doubt that the various rippers (and here I mean decrypting and copying to your HDD, not re-encoding) would have significantly different performance on the same hardware. So I would use the more reliable ripper. AnyDVD HD has never failed me, but others are probably just as good.

Ok, I see the option to rip to the hard drive. Only thing left is to leave the option of Dolby compressed 5.1 on the disc as well as the better 7.1 HD Master. Thanks in advance!

I highly recommend AnyDVD HD. It can save you a lot of time and headaches because it is very reliable.
