View Full Version : 1.06 build 1 works, build 4 stops at video

I have successfully used build 1 to make many svcds, but upgrading to build 4 causes a file access denied error at the start of video encoding (I will paste the log at the end of this post). I uninstalled build 4, reinstalled build 1 and all was well. I then unistalled build 1 reinstalled build 4 and the error repeated.

I have used the same options on the tabs with both builds.

Your free diskspace before and after audio extraction and conversion is the same. So I think you haven't get any files to your disk during this process. Maybe your Video isn't there, either. So CCE can't handle it, if it didn't find it. :sly:
Have you any files from the picture or sound on your disk?

What CPU are you using?

Try playing the ripped VOB files in a Software DVD player to see if it ripped ok.

The lack of change of diskspace is because i was operating over a previous attempt (ie it was just replacing files). However, in order to eliminate any chance of a user error I emptied the ~\movie directory and tried it again, with the requisite reductions in disk space.

The question of video being there is easily answered. I have successfully run the whole process with build 1 from these .vob files. It fails on build 4 from the identical .vob files.

I am using an Athlon tbird 700, on XP home with 386mb sdram.

It ripped ok , as I have completed the process with build 1. ie the .vob files work with the same cce binaries in build one, but not build 4.. Nothing else is changed.

I am having a very similar problem.

I have used build 4 with no problems at all until my computer nuked itself last week.
I have just got the thing running again but now whenever I try and do a dvd when it gets to the vid encoding bit I get an error message:-

"access violation at address 00573735 in module 'dvd2SVCD.exe'.Read of address 00000000."

Here is the log (I tried crash recovery a few times as you will see):-
