Got a film in two parts now i need to know how to merge them back into one large file and then burn them to cd or dvd, then get it to autoplay in a stand alone dvd player.

Is it a divx movie???
If so you have to make svcd from it to be able to play it in a standalone. To merge two parts of the movie you can use Nandub (VirtualDub), but they have to be the same resolution, the same codec used.

Are they VOBs? Wolfspyder's other messages have all been about dvd-r.
Perhaps someone in the IfoEdit forum could help, if that were the case.

Sorry. Don't use it. Have you tried http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/wm7/encoder.asp?

:stupid: You need them in an MPEG form that a standalone dvd player can play: dvd, svcd, vcd...etc.
(assumes your player can play dvd-r, (s)vcd on cd-r or cd-rw. Database on http://www.vcdhelp.com).
So you'll need to transcode.
