Hello,

On the Internet, you can find many Region hacks for DVD- and Blu-ray standalone players. But without Internet connection, you cannot access them, and some webpages require you to register or even to pay money before they give information.

My idea: Wouldn't it be possible to collect these Region hacks and save them in a free database software, so that they are always available?

It could be updated once a month or so, and the users could add their own hacks.

What do you think?

Many greetings, :)

Something like THIS (http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks)perhaps?

Yes, something like this website. But all the hacks should be collected in a downloadable file that can also be used without an Internet connection. And, who knows, users could also add region hacks for video games and Blu-ray software players :) .

Well, I doubt one has all the players in the world. Some studios do, to test their discs ...
So one goes to this database and picks up the hack of his own player. And contributes, if he can, to this database as well.
