dvdrw on ps2

can someone show me step by step how to copy a dvd to dvd-rw and perfectly play on a ps2. i have copied many dvd's and all of them worked on my standalone dvd player but it won't play on my ps2.

DVD-Rs will play on the PS2 but it will not play DVD-RWs.

Both authoring DVD-Rs and DVD-R for general use work fine on the PlayStation2, but the system is simply not equipped to run any kind of DVD rewritable format.

I have a PS2 and it read without any problem my verbatim DVD-RW....
My PS2 is a V5 board, I read somewhere that only V3 don't read DVD-RW.
