Panasonic DVD Burner - DVD Burning ?'s

My friend just got a Panasonic DVD Burner. Does he have to do anything special to burn a DVD?? He said it came with sofware but I have a hard time beliving that they would make it that easy for him to burn a DVD. here are the machine specs:

Are you asking about burning the result of DVD2SVCD or burning copies of DVD's?
If copies then definatly this is better posted in IFO edit or the DVD forum.

Big difference and very few DVD players can play SVCD's burned on a DVD disk.

read through the various threads here and you should be able to get movies that are playable in various stand alones! (this is what this forum is all about).

FYI: I think most of us are using the Pioneer engine, but assuming that the Panasonic is using the same DVD-R discs, I don't see why they would not work.
