Hi all,

two silly questions.
1.If you playback a BD which is 24p on a TV that does not support
24p, will there be issues?
Maybe some jiggering?

2.Are there any BD players that does not support 24p discs?

I am asking because my client wants to make all the BD's in 25fps
weather the source is in 24 or 25 (of course) and I am trying to persuade otherwise.
Just want to make 100% sure nothing will go wrong.

Thanks.

1. If the TV doesn't support 24fps, which was a common case in the past, it will revert to 60i/p. Anyway, most displays are driven at frequencies higher than 24Hz, that's the status of technology.

2. none IIRC. 24fps is mandatory in BD players all profiles.
2a - unlike DVD, BD even allows a mixture of fps and sizes - it's not unusual to find the main feature in 1080p24 (or 23.976) and the extras or interviews in PAL 50i. A titleset must however have the same format
